Hometown: Green Bay

What instruments do you play: I started playing piano and drums at 4 years old. Began playing guitar and bass in middle school. I also began playing trumpet and brass instruments in high school as well.

Musical Experience: Both of my parents were music teachers. My mom was a performing concert pianist and a teacher. My Dad was a classical percussionist and middle school band director. I grew up surrounded by music and began playing piano and drums at a young age. I played in school band program where I gained a love of teaching music. I attended Northern Illinois University in Dekalb, IL where I studied percussion under Dr. Greg Beyer and Ben Wahlund. While there I earned two undergrad degrees; Music Education and Percussion Performance. I then taught high school band in Northern Illinois and played in rock/jazz bands in the Chicago area before moving back home to Green Bay. I began playing in Luma Knotty in the Fall of 2025.

Musical Influences: My biggest musical influences on drums are: Nate Smith, Steve Jordan, Stanton Moore, and Dennis Chambers among many others! My favorite artists to listen to are Vulfpeck, PJ Morton, D'Angelo. and Stevie Wonder.

Why did I join Luma: I enjoy playing funk, reggae, and Latin music and I also enjoy the freedom the band gives to improvise at times!

Drink of Choice: Rootbeer!!!
